i dont know for sure but ive heard that its around 14-16 hours
3hr 15min to 3hr 25min Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Los Angeles (LAX) by a nonstop flight operated by American Airlines.
The question is a little ambiguous. Sydney is about 17 hours ahead of Dallas. With that and the length of the trip itself, it's not uncommon for you to disembark in Sydney at a local time that is two days after your departure in Dallas local time (i.e. you got on the plane in Dallas on the 12th, and when you land in Sydney it's the 14th). If that's what you mean, then yes, but you haven't really "lost" anything. Flying the other way, you'll probably land "the same day" you departed, with the flight time largely "cancelled out" by the time zone difference (in fact, if you can get a direct flight, you may even arrive "before" you left; the direct flight time is about 15 hours).
1,350 miles
this depends on the plane... a 777 can... a 737... no way!

By plane, it would take 18 hours.
A flight from London to Sydney indeed does have to stop "en route". It is necessary for the plane to make sure it has enough fuel to complete the full flight.
Depending what plane you fly on and if it is nonstop flight.
The flight duration is approximately 16 hours, 13 minutes.
