When a pharmacist completes his education, he is required to work under the supervison of a licensed pharmacist, usually for at least one year. He then must akes a theoretical and practical examination offered by the State Board of Pharmacy of the state where he has completed his internship. Some states reciprocate with others so that the license may be accepted to work there. Usually a icense has to be renewed yearly and posted in the pharmacy along with his university degree. Continued education credits must be submitted yearly to maintain the validy of the license. If he no longer intends to work for a year or longer, he not need to pay the yearly fee and submits an application for that purpose. As I have been retired for many years, this information may need updating.
