Impetigo is a skin condition caused by the staph or strep bacteria. Antibiotics are usually necessary to clear this up but improvement can be seen within a few days after beginning the medication. Please consult a health care professional as I'm sure you must be feeling very uncomfortable.
Impetigo is very contagious. Anything that touches the sores has a possibility of transferring the infection to either another person or another part of the body. Children who have impetigo should be carefully monitored to prevent spread of the infection since they are more likely to scratch and be in close contact with others. Usually after 48 hours of an antibiotic treatment it is no longer contagious and a child who has impetigo can go to school (you should ask your doctor this may differ with medication).
it really depends
if it is bullous impetigo
or nonbullous impetigo
bullous is longer to be treated
but non boulous takes at least 2 weeks.
non boulous starts with a look alike pimple witch will eventually burst into a honey like scab.
Well, you can take or leave this answer, but its my theory. I think the concept of a so called "incubation" period for scabies is a bit of a mis-nomer. Basically as I understand it, they jump on you, burrow into yourskin and start defacating and laying eggs. Generally what people think of as the incubation period for scabies is probably in fact the length of time it takes for an individual to develop a sort of allergy to the proteins associated with the mite. The actual lifecycle of the organism could well be turning over much quicker than the 4 or so weeks it takes for most people to show a reaction. This seems to be evidenced by the fact that individuals who have been previously infected or "sensitized" to them show a reaction within days.
