You need to go to "college" long enough to get your doctoral degree, or PhD, in physical therapy. This involves earning your master's degree from a 4-year university followed by graduate school. You need to have both the master's and doctoral degrees in order to pass the state licensing exams. How long it takes you depends on whether you are a full-time or part-time student.
Just apply, there are really no pre requirements for kinesiology or physical therapy, you learn all of that at the college you choose.
