It's not a sobriety test, it's meant to prove that you are intoxicated, not prove your sobriety. If you deny your field sobriety test or breathalyzer you can get your license suspended.

Long-term sobriety typically refers to a sustained period of abstinence from drugs or alcohol, often extending beyond one year or even several years. It signifies a commitment to ongoing recovery and a lifestyle focused on maintaining sobriety. Challenges in maintaining long-term sobriety can include triggers, cravings, stress, and the risk of relapse. It's important to have a strong support system and effective coping strategies in place to address these challenges. Long-term sobriety can pave the way for a fulfilling and meaningful life. It allows individuals to rebuild relationships, pursue their passions, set and achieve goals, and experience personal growth and happiness. Self-care is crucial in maintaining long-term sobriety. It involves taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Activities like exercise, meditation, therapy, and healthy lifestyle choices contribute to overall wellness and resilience in recovery.

1 year of sobriety
Sobriety was not a state David found himself in very often.
The only thing that can affect a sobriety test is not being sober.
Probably varies - but I had "drunk dreams" for about my first 2 months of sobriety
Sobriety is a loaded word. When does your thinking fully clear from the damage of heavy drinking? Medically it takes a year and a half to two years for the brain of heavy drinker to repair itself. Most sober alcoholics notice their emotions are more stable and thinking is clearer around this time. The changes happen gradually. But after three months of not drinking they are noticeably better than they were after a week of sobriety. At a year of sobriety most have lost the craving for alcohol and the rates of drinking again drop enormously, though relapses happen. At 2 years of sobriety it is rare for an alcoholic to return to drinking.
