For the majority of people- it would be about 10 years before a visa becomes available and the sibling can immigrate to the US. But there are two MAJOR exceptions. If your sibling is MEXICAN- it will be about 16-18 years before the sibling would be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. (and filing for your sibling will probably prevent him/her from even getting a tourist visa). If your sibling is FILIPINO- it will be around 21-23+ years before they will be allowed to legally immigrate to the US.
