Depends on the oven but usually between 5-15 min
According to Encyclopedia Brown #15 1/2, it takes at least 20 minutes to preheat an oven.
This would depend on the manufacter of the oven and what temperature you have it set to but it can typically take 20 - 30 minutes to fully heat up.
Well in the oven maybe 30-60 minutes
Yes, the Sharp Countertop Microwave Oven can take the heat.
The reason for this is to take advantage of the most heat in the oven. Heat rises to the top.
it takes about 45 mins in the oven jas says it takes an hour but it doesnt put it on full heat.
This depends on the type of oven you have (e.g. gas versus electric), as well as the make/model of the oven. Some ovens are able to heat up a lot faster than other ones.
oven gloves or a highly flammable cloth
A combination of heat paths will be in effect within an oven. The main method of heat transportation will be radiation from the oven heating element to the surface of the cake which will heat the outer surface of the cake. Conduction will them allow this heat to transfer to the interior of the cake via contact paths between each molecule of cake mixture. Conduction will also occur between any air particles which are in direct contact with the heating element, and should they then come into contact with the surface of the cake conduction will again take place between the heated air particle and the surface of the cake. Convection will of course take place in the oven as well.
Because the materials form which it is made do not conduct heat very well and because its construction includes a lot of padding which traps air in the glove. Air too is a poor conductor of heat. Because of this poor conduction of heat when you pick up something hot when wearing an oven glove it will take a long time for the heat of the object to get through to your hand and burn you. However, if the oven glove is wet, as water is a good conductor of heat, a wet glove will transmit the heat and you will get burnt.
