For a healthy lawn infrequent deep watering is recommended. Watering daily will cause the grass to have a weak root system because the water that it needs and searches for is closer to the surface. What you really want is for the grass to search out the water at the deep root level. Depending on whatr zone you live in will decide on how often but saturate 3-5 inches .
