You can start your puppies at 3 weeks of age. Just make up a very liquidity mush at first using some human baby food rice mixed in with evaporated canned milk (diluted one part milk to one part water). Never use cow's milk as not good for the puppies. Use either evaporated milk or canned goat's milk (diluted one part goats milk to one part water). Make sure it does not cause diarrhea. If all goes well, then in a few more days start soaking dry puppy food (good name brands only, not cheap store brands) until soft and mushy and mix with the evaporated milk or goats milk (still diluting one part to one part water). You can always add in the human baby dry Rice if you see diarrhea. By the 4th week, just soften up the puppy food with warm water and leave a bowl of dry food in their pen too that they can crunch on when they want too but make sure none of them are choking on it. Let them still nurse on the Mom until they are around 5-6 weeks of age and then take them completely off of her so she can dry up her milk.
After 6 months you should start giving your child some solid food like cerelac etc.
