No. Antarctica is a solid continent that happens to be covered in ice and snow. Even if this ice and snow was going to melt in the next dozen years - which it won't - the continent would still remain there.

It is true that sea levels are rising, but at this stage the rise is mainly due to melting of glaciers and the northern ice caps, plus the expansion of water as the oceans warm. Fortunately, the Antarctic ice cap is not melting at this stage, apart from minor losses in the Antarctic Peninsula.

Look don't be paranoid about the outcomes......but fore sure it will melt around the year 2100 and it sure will increase the chance of survival on our planet. With these catastrophic disasters occurring e.g such as global warming (which i believe in my opinion is complete bull#%!) and our ozone layer weakening from our pollution ( which i also believe is bulls#%!, because the facts are there and we all know its Britain playing around with its bombs, and nukes!)

But the real thing hear is that not all people can stop polluting cause its what we do to survive. Even by reducing pollution it will only make 0.2% of a difference and for what were making our lives harder? NOTHING!............it still wont change this atrocity, that is the atrocity of our beloved Antarctica melting.

It is impossible to know. Probably many hundreds of years, given the amount of ice there. However, we hope to have slowed global warming down so that all the ice will not melt. If it all melts, then the human race is probably extinct.
