It depends on the banks, there is usually a cut off time for wire transfers. I actually use two different banks (one of the banks is located across the country). When I do a wire transfer, as long as it's before the cut off time I am able to chose same day (shows up in minutes) or next business day. I just have to pay a larger transfer fee for the same day. It's all electronic, so technically it takes about 5 seconds.
