Well, I live in Long Beach, California. Yesterday--on March 11--they gave Southern Cali a warning about tsunamis. Luckily, Long Beach wasn't hit with a tsunami, but Santa Cruz and Cresent City did (unfortunately).

A little over 1 and a half hours
it took so long because there were no tsunami centers in the region and it was too late after all even if they did. Also when they got the warning in the pacific ocean they only warned the countries that border it
