Yes!
Because it will keep you from withdrawling without feeling "High" from the opiates .
to get high if you cut it open and lick it or rub it on your mouth its absorbed right away the patch is time release through the patch eight to twelve hrs so if some one is doing this its probably to get high
minimum 50 cents micro-gram per hour 1 microgram is .001 milligrams $85 bucks cash for a 100ng/hr patch is high price between 50-70 is reasonable. Cheaper sometimes in the midwest and out east.
No - anything that insulates the patch can cause body heat to increase in the patch area, which will increase the dosage delivery rate of the patch. If you don't have a really high opiate tolerance above what your normal dosage is, an overdose is a real possibility. Even for someone with a high opiate tolerance, it's not fun - delirium/confusion is the usual result, and it's extremely disorienting, even when you know what's happening. The only way to deal with it is to remove the patch and get yourself cooled off to lower body temperature. Just don't fold the patch - you CAN re-apply it if the edges are intact. If you're having problems keeping it on, check out my answer on ways to keep it on at the related question link below (How do you keep Fentanyl patches applied?). There are many other ways to keep it stuck to your body.
Not after the first couple of weeks when you get used to the dose. Unlike OxyContin, patch doses are much more steady, and there's no steep dropoff in dosage level like there is with OxyContin as the drug wears off. Essentially, you feel pretty normal, just no pain.
It depends on the person and the amount of gel involved. If you're extremely tolerant to Fentanyl, you won't be affected as quickly, but for most people, respiratory / cardiac arrest and death are the most common results. It's slower than Cyanide, but the end result is the same. Fentanyl patches are designed to deliver a continuous, small dose over a period of 2-3 days. By removing the gel and applying it directly to the skin, the person is bypassing the timed-release component. Most people, high dose Fentanyl users as well, aren't capable of handling that high a dose at one time.
$17.00 to $20.00 give or take i guess idk for sure though so dont quote me. Any fentanyl transdermal system patch is worth whatever the mcg is and sometimes a little more. So say a 25 mcg patch would be between $25 to $30 or say a 50 mcg patch would get between $50 and $60.
Because of its high potential for abuse, fentanyl is a controlled substance.
Duragesic and other Fentanyl patches contain Fentanyl suspended in a gel solution, which is delivered transdermally over a 2-3 day period to the patient. Since it's a timed-release drug, cutting the patch and eating the gel bypasses the timed-release function and instantly gives the person a massive dose of Fentanyl, which even for highly opiate tolerant patients like myself, can be extremely dangerous or fatal. For most who are on high doses, the effects are usually confusion or delirium; for those who aren't opiate tolerant or use drugs like Cocaine or Heroin, the effects are usually fatal, since Fentanyl is 100 times stronger than Morphine. Fentanyl users have the drug in their systems 24/7, and as such, build up a very high tolerance to its effects. Patient who start using it have already used other opiates for some time, and already have a high tolerance before using it. Those who aren't regular users and aren't tolerant to the effects usually die of respiratory or cardiac arrest, or a combination of both. The most common cause of death though is ignorance and a lack of respect for how powerful an opiate Fentanyl is.
less than can be determined by visual identification think a low dose aspirin is 81 mg and very small it would be impossible to free handed cut it into 81 separate and equal 1 mg pieces if it were the cuts would be very minute indeed and far too small to work with without one cough or breeze blowing it away. and the amount of fentanyl in the highest dose fentanyl is 100 micrograms so one 81 mg aspirin contains by weight the amount of fentanyl in 810 ( 100 micrograms) patches so one low dose aspirin weight of fentanly is enough to kill 810 people if rapidly released by doing something foolish such as swallow the patch please find a safer high. fentanyl overdose will depress your breething it has been used both intentionally and unintentionally to cause death.
