Generally, you do not want to keep mushrooms for longer than a week. However, the general method of checking that your mushrooms are still fresh is to feel them. If they feel slimy or look darker than normal, it is time to throw them away. I would say about the same if they are stored in their original container or package. If you use a Green Bag, I have kept them as long as three weeks - I'm absolutely serious. If you do not have a Green Bag, a muslin bag or cloth will work nearly as well. The idea is to keep the moisture away from them without drying them out. And if they do become dried out because of lack of humidity, finish drying them on the kitchen counter and keep them in a ziploc bag once they are fully dried for later use.

Here's the thing -- if they aren't airtight, they will dry out in 3-4 days. If they are completely airtight, they will get soggy in 5-6. So you're probably better off with the latter. In the refrigerator, of course.

The range of answers varies, but it seems like anywhere from a few days to maybe a week, depending on the mushroom species and freshness, how quickly you get them to your fridge, and what kind of container you use. See the attached articles for more info!

This food will keep for about 3 days in the refrigerator. Place the food in an air tight container for the best results. This food can easily be transferred to the freezer for longer storage time.

that depends how you store them. Not in tupperware with lid on because they will get slimey from the condinsation and grow new (bad) mold on them ,same for zip-lock bags.If they are all slimey toss them.

they should be stored in a bowl,or original papper carton minus the plastic wrap, covered with paper towel to allow them to breath. Then they should be good until they dry up or get hard.(PS. why cover with papper towel?=to keep them from absorbing refrigerator oder!)...
