Firstly, the most likely thing is that any change would be harmful. Even if you don't get enough radiation to kill you, you may be made sterile. Presuming the very unlikely event that a non-damaging change to your DNA occurs, it's unlikely to be the same change in all your cells. If it happens to your gamete producing cells, this would show up in your descendants, perhaps as quickly as your own children, depending on whether the change is dominant or recessive.
