The distance from the earth (or sun) to Polaris is 133 parsecs (433 light years) which is a little over 4 trillion kilometres. Depending on where on earth you start from, going to the North Pole may change this distance by at less than 13000 km (around 0.0000004%!).
The time taken to cover the distance will depend on the speed at which you can travel. The top speed of Pioneer 10, as it left the inner solar system was around 130,000 km per hour. At that speed it would take approx 3.5 millennia.
That depends on where you start and how fast you travel.

In the northern hemesphere u can find north by using the star Polaris in the constelation Ursa Minor. (Polaris is in fact a multi star system, not just one star)It is easily found by finding one of the most distinctive constelations Ursa Major or the Big Dipper. Take the two stars that make up the scoop part of the ladel (opposite the handle) and extend it up and you find to Polaris.
