Depends if we are talking US gallons (used in USA) or imperial gallons (used everywhere else).
US Gallons 1 = 128 fl ounces. , so (128 * 5) / 32 = 20
Imp. Gallons 1 = 160 fl Ounces, so (160 * 5) / 32 = 25

A disinfectant and a cleaner are the same besides the fact that a disinfectant can supposedly reduce 99% of germs. Which in some way is better then a normal cleaner that reduces less germs. Either one will get your house clean. :)

To disinfect carpets, first vacuum to remove dirt and debris. Then, use a carpet disinfectant spray or solution, following the manufacturer's instructions. Allow the disinfectant to sit on the carpet for the recommended time before vacuuming or drying.
The metal container needs to be properly cleaned and disinfected first. Wash the container with a non-ammonia cleaner and hot water. Then brush it fully and follow it up with a wet/dry vac. Finally soak it with a 10% bleach/water solution, rinse it out and make sure it dries fully before adding anything to it.
