There are no 8 ohm amplifiers! All amplifiers will have an output impedance of around 0.04 ohms. In hi-fi we have always impedance bridging. Zout << Zin. The damping factor Df = Zin / Zout tells you what Zout is. Zout = Zin/Df. If the damping factor Df = 200 and the loudspeaker impedance is Zin = 4 ohms, the output impedance of the amplifier is Zout = 4 / 200 = 0.02 ohms. You see, there is no "8 ohm amplifier" with a 8 ohm output. Scroll down to related links and look at "Voltage Bridging - Zout < Zin".

How many ohms of speaker do i need for my 500 watts 2 channel amplifier?

For a 500-watt, 2-channel amplifier, the speaker impedance you need depends on the amplifier's design and configuration. Common speaker impedances are 4 ohms and 8 ohms. If your amplifier is rated for 4 ohms, you can use 4-ohm speakers for maximum output. However, if it’s designed for 8 ohms, using 4-ohm speakers may lead to potential damage, as it could push the amplifier beyond its limits. Always check your amplifier's specifications to ensure compatibility.

What is the purpose of common collector voltage amplifier where voltage gain is unity?

It is a current amplifier. It can be used to boost current in an output stage to a speaker, for example, or for circuit isolation (two of many purposes). If you took a differential amplifier output stage to an 8 ohm speaker, it is very likely you would load the amplifier to the point of making it worthless (it would not amplify).

Where can one find a 4 channel car amplifier?

One can find a four channel car amplifier from many different stores. These stores include Best Buy, Walmart, K-Mart, or any store that sells electronics.

Are all sub woofer cables universal?

The simple answer, is NO. It depends on the actual connection. From the head unit to the amplifier, it typically is an RCA cable, but if your using "Speaker level inputs" then it would be speaker wire. (with a special harness). However, if your hooking up a Subwoofer to an Amplifier, depending on the guage of wire, Yes. They are universal. Many people typically just use plain speaker wire, however, many use special "Shielded" wire for subwoofers.

How many watts has the urei 6250?

The Urei 6250 power amplifier has a power output of 250 watts per channel into 8 ohms.

Can a 8 ohm amp power a 4 ohm speaker?

You will find no 4 ohm amplifier! So you will need no transformer. All audio amplifiers have output impedances of lower than 0.5 ohms. We have "impedance bridging" between amplifier and loudspeaker - no matching. Scroll down to related links and look at "impedance bridging - Wikipedia".

How many whats is the Rockford fosgate Punch P6002?
