Weight of 50ft section of 3 inch hose with water in it?

There need not be any water at all in the hose! The capacity of the hose is 3.41 cubic feet.
A water hose is a cylinder, and since the volume of a cylinder is pi*r^2*height, we can calculate the volume of the water hose by finding the radius and height. A 3 inch hose has a radius of 1.5 inches, and 50 ft is equal to 600 inches, so 1.5^2 is 2.25, and 2.25*600 is 1,350. Finally we multiply by Pi to get approximately 4,239 cubic inches. Since 1 cubic inch is equal to 0.00432 gallons, there are 18.3506 gallons.
Top hose is 2 inch I.D. Two lower hoses are 1 3/4 I.D.

In order to connect to two same diameter hoses together, get a 5 or 6 inch piece of pipe which is the same diameter as the heater core tubes from which the hoses were removed. Install the pipe halfway into one hose and secure tightly with a worm-drive hose clamp. Then once secure, do the same with the other hose.j3h.
U cut both hoses & connect together with a piece of half inch conduit.OR put plugs in each hose & secure with hose clamps-(same as above)--OR get 2 block-off caps & install on the heater hose nipples.
