Canada's unit of money is the Canadian dollar (CAD). The sign is $. Visit the related links for more information.
Canadians dollars. One dollar coins are called 'Loonies', and two dollar coins are called 'Toonies'. Canadian dollar are very close to the American dollar, I believe. Also...I'm sorry but, it would be 'their' not 'there'.
A Canadian one dollar coin (a "loonie") is 1.75mm thick and 26.5mm in diameter (actually it is not round - rather,it has 11 curved sides - but the difference should be minimal for our purposes here). If your question is "How many loonies in a stack of coins one meter high?", then the answer is 1000/1.75 = 571.43, or about 571. If your question is "How many loonies laid end to end would be needed to stretch one meter?", then the answer is 1000/26.5 = 37.74, or about 38.

In the old testament book of Genesis, chapter 11 you can read about the Tower of Babel. The people that lived then wanted to build a tower that would reach to the heavens. They wanted to make a name for themselves. Everyone spoke the same language and they had the ability to build a great tower and God knew that if he made them all speak different languages, they would not be able to communicate and build the tower.
The concept of the CN Tower originated from a 1968 Canadian National Railway desire to build a large TV and radio communication platform to serve the Toronto area, as well as demonstrate the strength of Canadian industry and CN in particular.
The ancient Babylonians built stepped pyramids which, to the unsophisticated, would have looked as if they were intended to reach to heaven. Socholars say that these pyramids inspired the story of the Tower of Babel.
Then we would all be in pitch blackness once night came, there would be no tides, and there would be no loonies coming out of the woodwork every blue moon! [And that has been scientifically proven!!]
This was a technical challenge and a demonstration of the how-to for the Eiffel company, which was specialized in metallic-framed constructions. The use of steel allowed the tower to reach a height of 300 meters (about 1000 feet). A tower made of rock would have collapsed, its base crushed under the weight.
