how many kinds of parakeets

You shouldn't because the male will mate with one of them and parakeets hate being lonely and the other one will be left out....
I don't know if they are called ''claws'' but my parakeets have long nails that can get sharp if you let them grow. If they get too sharp you have to clip them but it is risky and i think it should be left to a vet.
There are many, more than 120 species and sub-species, The most common in homes are: Blue, Green, and Rare Parakeets.
