Out of the approximate 5,100 F4's produced: most are used as trainers; Egypt operates over a dozen F4s, Germany over a dozen, Greece over a dozen, Iran over a dozen, Japan over a 100, South Korea and Turkey over a 100 apiece.
The US uses them as aerial targets today, and over 750 US Phantoms were destroyed during the Vietnam War.
Britain had a batch of them during their month and a half Falklands War in 1982, but rather than using them, they used their Harriers instead (a good plane in itself, and the first time it was used in combat); they bulldozed the US supplied F4's into the ground near the airfield.

To fly
In reference to those who choose not to fly (as opposed to those recently put on the no-fly list), many people still choose to fly, as it still remains statistically as the safest mode of travel, not to mention it is much, much faster than any other available long-distance travel options. Please recommend.
Boeing Airlines, Inc is the name of the company that manufactures many of the planes that fly today.
