5,533,000 is the current estimate of how many German Soldiers died in WWII. How many of those died in Europe though, I am unsure of.
There were over 3000 Allied Forces casualties (deaths) in the Battle of Bastogne. I could not find a number of the German deaths. It could be they don't even know how many Germans and Axis Forces troops died in that battle.
I believe somewhere in the upper 300,000 range.The estimated number of American troops who died in the World War 2 is 418,500.
