The New Zealanders and Australians fought as part of the British Empire. Separate flying services were not set up in either country until after WW1.
Well, they fought with the British and the Australians as they are under the Queen. In World War 2 their were attempts to invade mainland Australia and New Zealanders were also there to help there as well as Europe and at home.
