Tsarist Russia was already unstable due to the Russian-Japanese War of 1904-1905; which gave rise to Lenin and the Russian Battleship Potemkin mutiny. Ten years later the already unstable Russia under the Tsar entered WW1 along side of the allies; only to leave the war early in 1917 to fight their "Bolshevik Revolution" which created a Union of Socialistic Republics, and the Tsar and his family were executed.
