Only 32 were made. 12 were destroyed in accidents but none due to enemy action.
32 actual operational SR-71's were built. -About 18 survive in Air Museums all across USA and 1 in England.

Habu
No. All Blackbirds were built and are owned by the US Air Force. It is not possible for a civilian to buy one.
No, Civilians can Not Buy LockHead SR 71 BlackBirds because It is a Deadly Aircraft Just Built and I dont Think Anybody is Going to Waste There Lotery Money on a 33 Million Dollar AirCraft!
No it does not. The last flight of any SR-71 was in 1999 and that was a NASA Blackbird. NASA had used Blackbirds as far back as 1969 in collaboration with the USAF, 2 of those 3 Blackbirds being the YF-12.... sister to the SR-71.
So far I am only aware of two types the A-12 and the SR-71.
32 are left but 12 were crashed in accidents so tey are about 20 left
The Blackbirds had a unique role in aviation. Nothing took over from them.
The SR 71 Blackbird was built for stealth so that it couldn't be spotted in the radars of opposite crafts
A total of 32 SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft were built by Lockheed. Of these, 12 were lost in accidents, and the remaining 20 were used for operational missions. The SR-71 was retired in 1998, having served as one of the fastest aircraft in history.
Blackbirds are not for public sale. You cannot just go about and fly a SR-71. If you are in the US Air force, then maybe you can be recruited to be the pilot of top secret plans like the SR-71.
