You willfind that many airllines team up & use 1 aircraft with different flight codes. British Airways & QANTAS use a QANTAS plane to Bangkok then you might be on a BA flight form Bankok to London. There are 3 or 4 flights a day from Sydney. Thia airlines have 2 flights a day to Bangkok but when you get to Bangkok there are more flights to London so you can stay over & get on the very next plae to London. Not a good answer to your question I know, but this is how it is, when QANTAS start using the 777 200LR there will be direct flights one day.
