need to know what it is used in car house ?

E = I X R E/R=I E/I= R

E = volts I = amps R = Resistance OHM S LAW

AC inductive and capacitive loads are different law used

lights are resistive loads,unless fluorescent lights are different load.

but 60 watts =power p/e =i 60/120=.5 120 volts 60 watts on 12volt system

5 amps

Answer

The voltage required for a lamp to operate at its rated power is called its 'rated voltage'. This value is shown, together with the rated power, printed on the lamp's glass envelope -e.g. 60 W/120 V or 60 W/230 V, depending on where you live.

Amps = I

Volts = V

Watts = P

I = P/V

I = 60/240

I = 1/4 = 0.25 amps = 250 mA

or for the US:

I = 60/115

I = 0.522 amps = 522mA

How many amps in a small table lamp?

A 120 volt table lamp with a 75 watt bulb will pull 0.625 amps. With a 100 watt bulb it will pull 0.833 amps. And with a modern fluorescent 13 watt bulb it will pull 0.108 amps.

How many amperes does a standard 60 watt light bulb use?

Watts = Volts X Amps. Amps=Watt / Volts. So, with a 240V mains, a 60W bulb draws 0.25amps. On a 12 system (car/auto) a 60W bulb draws 5 amps. On a 110V mains, a 60W bulb draws .55 Amps.

What is the resistance of a 40 watt bulb?

On this calculation I am assuming that the light bulb is using a 120 volt source. Watts = Amps x Volts. Amps = Watts/Volts, 40/120 = .33 amps. R = Volts/Amps, 120/.33 = 363.6 ohms resistance in the 40 watt light bulb.

How many amps does a 65 watt light bulb use?

Amps x volts = watts So, assuming you are running on 110 volt line, the answer is 65 watts/110 volts=.591 amps.
