Lynx in the winter babies are born covered with a wrapping that they formed in. The mother quickly eats the covering so the babies, or kittens, can breath, and the mother eats and gets nutriention.

They can be called kittens or cubs, I have heard both. I think a cub would be a better name to call a baby of a lynx because it is a bigger cat and lion's babies are called cubs, so maybe the lynx babies can be called cubs. But cubs or kittens are both names to call the baby of a lynx.

During this time, the mother teaches them essential survival skills, such as hunting and navigating their territory. After this period, the young lynx become independent and venture out to establish their own territories.
