A litter of guinea pigs can range anywhere from one to six babies. Because of this large variation, I find it is helpful to breed two females at a time so that they can care for each other's young. Guinea pigs are very social creatures by nature, so keeping mutliple guinea pigs together is a good idea.

Guinea pigs can give birth to anywhere from one to eight babies. A usual litter consists of three to four.
