There are 63 public beaches on the Jersey Shore. There are many more private beaches. Some people refer to the amount of beaches as a gazillion.
The four main regions of California are beaches, deserts, foothills, and mountains. California is located on the Pacific Ocean. The Mohave Desert is the largest desert in California. The foothills are located just below the mountain area. A major mountain chain in California is the Sierra Nevada Mountains. There are also lakes and valleys in California.
When I think of beaches in the United States, three states jump out in my mind. Florida with its huge coastline and borders on both the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. Hawaii and the beaches there remind you of the tropical paradise. And California and surfing with the whole beach culture is the third. Also South Carolina has beautiful beaches such as Myrtle Beach.

It depends on where in California you are referring to. California is a very large state and Northern California beaches are much colder than Southern California ones. Florida beaches are famous for being great beaches, but for me I would rather go to a Southern California beach.

That depends on which beach you're on. In general, State Beaches in California do not allow dogs, but there may be beaches run by the city or other entities which will allow dogs or other pets.
