Gray Whales feed on benthic crustaceans that are found on the sea bed. The whale scoops up sediments from the sea floor and filters out edible particles and feeds on them. There is no documented evidence on how much a gray whale would eat, but considering its size and weight, it should be a few hundred kilograms or more of food in a day.
No gray whales are killed. Indigenous communities in Alaska kill 50 bowhead whales a year.

Baleen whales eat nothing but plankton, mainly krill, which is a very small type of invertebrate; to be exact, it's a tiny shrimp (arthropod ==> crustacean). They sift these tiny shrimps out of the sea water through their baleens. Whales generally migrate with the huge swarms of plankton, utterly dependent on them.

There are only 78 gray whales left in the wild so we need to stop the whaling and hope that alot of whales reproduce. The whalers are going rampid and not caring what it will do to our enviorment.
Not many. Hunting by humans is the biggest threat to gray whales. Gray Whales have been hunted since the 16th century. Humans have been whaling gray whale species for over 4 decades now. This hunting has significantly reduced the gray whale populations. The north atlantic population of gray whales were totally wiped out due to whaling even before the 19th century. Around 1950, governments worldwide declared the gray whale as an endangered species and banned whaling them
many things are abundant in the gray whale's habitat, but one thing more than anything else, WATER!
