The number is in the process of changing, since it is common for presidents to appoint new people to their cabinet in their second term. As of March 2013, there are two black members, but it is expected there will be at least one more.
President Obama has a diverse cabinet: Eric Holder, the attorney general, is black, as is Susan Rice, the ambassador to the United Nations and Lisa P. Jackson, Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency. Also in his cabinet are several Latino/Latina members, several who are of Chinese or Arab descent, and a number of Caucasians.
President Obama has tried to have a diverse cabinet, which includes black, white, Asian, and Hispanic members. Currently, Attorney General Loretta Lynch; Sec. of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson; John King Jr., Sec. of Education; and Anthony Foxx, Sec. of Transportation are the African-Americans in his cabinet.
At this point (November 2012), they include Eric Holder, Susan Rice, Ron Kirk, and Lisa Jackson. In the president's second term, some members of his cabinet may change.
President Obama is still filling positions for his second term cabinet. Currently two of the members are black.
