well my studies show that in the pyramid of giza there are about 550,000,000 blocks and to some it may seem to much and to some a little to less but if im right the blocks do not stick to too little or too much blocks. sounds nonsense? i thought so to but actually its a hot climate in Egypt so they have to spread out the building throughout about 3-4 years.
They used 2.3 million blocks of stone
The great pyramid of Giza (in Egypt) needed 2.3 million blocks and according to other calculations it is concluded that around 4 million blocks were used.
Depends on the pyramid and the period it was built. The stone blocks used on the Step Pyramid of Djoser weighed on average 0.5 ton. The Great pyramid at Giza an average blocks weighed in at 2.5 tons although some weighed up to 70 tons. Later pyramids were often made from mud brick. The Egyptians had a standard size for mud bricks of approximately 3x6x12 inches.
around 2,300,000 ( two million three hundred thousand)
