no... its a 3.8 liter V6 motor...
Need to remove, engine cover throttle body/intake drive belt fuel lines pcv valve hose spark plug wires for rear bank than you should be able to unbolt the supercharger
The air filter is refered to as an intake silencer.
Engine Name: 3800 Series II Supercharged Engine Type: 90 degree V6 Displacement: 3.8L (231 cubic inches) Horsepower: 240 HP at 5,200RPM Torque: 280 ft-lb at 3,600RPM Compression Ratio: 8.5:1 Supercharger Type: EATON Generation 3 M90 Supercharger Displacement: 90 cubic inches per revolution.
Theoretically, you could put the supercharger setup from a factory supercharged 3800 series 2 engine but it would be a lot of work and you would have to do a lot with wiring. The Buick Park Avenue, Pontiac Bonneville SSEI and the Olds 88 LSS will have that engine.
It will have supercharged writen on the engine cover. or you can see the supercharger's snout sticking out the left side of the engine cover. and the loud whine the car makes when you floor it..lol
Drivers race 1997-2003: The GTP added an Eaton (Gen 3) M90 supercharger (also used in the 1996-2003 Bonneville, 1997-2003 Regal, 1996-2005 Park Ave, 2003-2004 Impala, 2003-2004 Monte Carlo) to the 3.8 liter, boosting power from 195 hp (145 kW) to 240 hp (179 kW). 2004+: Series III 3800 V6 engine, putting out 200 hp (150 kW) and 230 ft·lbf (310 Nm) of torque, The GTP is a supercharged (Eaton Gen 5 Supercharger) 3800 Series III V6 engine with 260 hp (195 kW) and 280 ft·lbf (380 Nm) of torque.
iv got a 99 buick centry custom with 3100 and i want to put 3800 heads and the supercharger off of a 99 regal is it possable?
I have a 1999 with the 3800 engine. The owner's manual says the horsepower is 205 without the supercharger and 240 with the supercharger.
Two different engines, for obvious reasons it will not fit. Even an l36(Naturally aspirated 3800 series) will not be able to just bolt a supercharger in, you need to change the push rods and a whole wack of other stuff.
