Try the engine end of the upper radiator hose in a removable housing
In a 1999 Nissan Quest, the thermostat is located in the engine compartment, specifically on the engine near the cylinder head. It is typically housed within the thermostat housing, which is connected to the upper radiator hose. To access it, you may need to remove the air intake duct and other components for better visibility and access.
In a 1999 Nissan Quest, the thermostat is located in the engine compartment, typically near the upper radiator hose. To access it, you may need to remove the air intake duct and the engine cover. The thermostat is housed in a housing that is bolted to the engine block. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting any maintenance.
in a housing next to the water pump, on the front (passenger side) of the engine. Follow the water hose from the passenger side of the radiator (as you're standing in front of the van) back to the engine, and the thermostat is inside the housing where the hose connects. There are actually two hoses that connect to the thermostat housing-one to the radiator and one to the water pump.
No, it has only one. Follow the upper radiator hose to where it meets the enine block on the passengers side. There is also a bypass hose meeting at the same place. The thermostat is located under this housing. I think there are 4 bolts holding it on. It is difficult to get the housing off as there is very little space on this side of the engine.
From what my mechanic tells me, it is under the manifold. No, form my eperience (replacing that sucker) the thermostat on the 1996 Nissan quest is on the left side of the engine, where your drive belts are located. in order to access it first you have to take off your serpentine belts. then you have to take off the upper and lower timing belt covers. the thermostat housing is directly above and slightly behind the water pump.
Follow the lower hose from rediator to engine. The hose is connected to the thermostat at the engine. Remove the hose,(collect fluid) take out the two bolts, remove the thermostat and clean the old gasket off the engine. Use blue gasket seal and install the new thermostat.
Follow the lower radiator hose from the radatoro to the engine. The lower hose is attached to the thermostat at the engine. Are you haveing problems with the engine warming up but the heat not blowing as hot as it should? Consider the heater core.
You will find the thermostat on the passengers side of the engine where the top radiator hose goes into the engine.
A new thermostat is like 10-15$ and very easy to do. Get a new thermostat and thermostat gasket and just look up how to do it for your vehicle. Mine was three easily accessable bolts. Unsctew pull out old thermostat put back together and burp system. [get air out] just look them up. Very easy. Save a couple bucks.
take the bolts off the cover then pull the wire
follow the positive battery cable and remove the two bolts 17mm
