Well if you are only talking about the start of the femur on down it has.

  • 2 Femurs
  • 2 Tibias
  • 2 Fibulas
  • 14 Tarsals
  • 10 Metatarsals
  • 28 Phalanges

For a grand total of 58 bones. If you add in the the hip bones you actually add in 6 more bones in, because of the fact that your hip bones are made up of three fused bones called the ischium, ilium, and pubis. If you want to get really technical you could also say that the sacrum, five vertebrae fused into one, and coccyx, three to five vertebrae fused into one, are part of that area as well which adds more bones to the mix. So the number can range from 58 to 74 bones depending on which area you are talking about.
