Some scholars say the Original Hebrew Scripture had 22 Books/Scrolls. This was later changed - books broken out - to the current version having 39 Books. Some believe this was done for political reasons shortly after the New Testament became official with 27 Books. These scholars believe the Jews did not want the total number to be 49 which is 7x7 and 7 is the number of completion or perfection - squared is intensified. So the expanded the books into a total of 66 which is the number (6) of mankind twice.
