There were 6 concertos "for a variety of instruments" (so called because each concerto calls for a different combination of instruments),. There written for the Margrave of Brandenburg, a German official who probably never even looked at the pices. The concertos are widely regarded as the finest music of the Baroque era.
I believe that J.S. Bach wrote 6 Brandenburg Concertos:- * Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 in F major, BWV 1046 * Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F major, BWV 1047 * Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major, BWV 1048 * Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G major, BWV 1049 * Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D major, BWV 1050 * Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B flat major, BWV 1051
ReligiousHe is famous for the Brandenburg Concerto's 1-5. My personal favorite is Brandenburg Concerto #5
What combination of ritornello and concertino do you hear in Brandenburg concerto no 5
The first movement of the Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 is in a ritornello form, with a recurring main theme (ritornello) that alternates with solo sections played by the concertino group.
Bach Trumpet
I think it's in D Major
the Brandenburg Concerto #5
Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 is composed of three movements. The structure includes a fast first movement in the key of G major, a slow second movement that features a prominent violin solo, and a lively third movement that brings the piece to a vigorous conclusion. The concerto is known for its intricate interplay among the string instruments and continuo.
Brandenburg concertos was created in 1721.
