Well, the place, the site, is impossible to get to unless you are a worker. When I was at the site, I learned that there were actually 7 buildings that were apart of the World Trade Center Site. All of the buildings were all destroyed. But the workers just rebuilt one of the buildings. The site will not be completed for another decade or more, but it will be amazing.

The twin towers in New York comprised the Word Trade Center. Along with the Twin Towers other buildings at the World Trade Center were destroyed including 7World Trade Center, 6World Trade Center, 5World Trade Center, 4World Trade Center, The Marriot World Trade Center, The World Financial Center and the St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The Deutsche Bank Building was later condemned and is undergoing deconstruction. The Borough of Manhatten Community College's Fitterman Hall was also condemned and is slated for deconstruction. The Pentagon Building was damaged but has been repaired.

As part of a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, they were destroyed by terrorists who crashed hijacked commercial aircraft into the buildings. At 8:46 AM EDT, American Airlines Flight 11 was crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower, followed by United Airlines Flight 175, which hit the South Tower at 9:03 AM. The South Tower collapsed less than an hour later at 9:59 AM, followed by the North Tower at 10:28 AM. As many as 2750 people, including the passengers of the two planes, were killed.
