There is no record as such. Hundreds of millions of cartridges were used in the war.
Yes! some were used as toys, some were used in films, some were used to kill, some were used as sheilds to stop the bullets and others were put down slowly
There were many codes used in the civil war, but the most common one was the quilt code.
In the Civil War, they had just discovered bullets made by soft lead. When the lead made contact it would swell in size, leaving a larger hole on the way out than it made on the way in. Otherwise they used just plane rifle bullets-often with bayonets. The Civil War was not civil at all-in fact it was the most bloody war in American History. People were brutal and they wanted to make sure that the South/ North (depending on their respective sides) did not win. They were out for blood and they sure got it.

Revolvers were used inthe civil war in invented by Colt. the revolvers shot multiple bullets at a time wwhich was what the civil war needed because if they keeps shooting one bullet at a time the war would last longer and the chanhces of wininig would have been different. JB.
Because the war lasted over ten years, it would be nearly impossible to number how many bullets were fired.
Weapons were used in battle during the civil war, at many battlefields in both North and South territory. The early forms of machine guns were used for the first time in the Civil War.
The soldiers melted their bullets into dice and gambled but that wasn't allowed so once they finished they melted them back into bullets
