The first wife of Zeus was Metis; by whom he has Athena.
Zeus and Metis had only one child together, the goddess Athena.
Athena relatives were Zeus (her dad), Metis (her mom), she had no siblings, no children, and no spouse.
Zeus' first wife was Metis, and she gave birth to his daughter Athena. However, Zeus heard a prophecy that any of his children born of Metis would turn against him, so when Metis was pregnant with Athena, Zeus swallowed her, which is why Athena was was born fully formed from his head. Later his wife was Hera, but he had many, many consorts.
Zeus had many wives, the second of which was Metis. Metis gave birth to Athena. Because of prophecies claiming that Metis' second child would replace him, Zeus proceeded to eat Metis. Zeus was a horrendous jerk.
It was prophesied that Athena's mother, Metis, would bear children more powerful than Zeus. After lying with Metis, Zeus ate Metis in order to forestall that prophecy. But he was too late: Metis had already conceived and Athena eventually leaped from Zeus' forehead, fully-grown and armed.
Metis was the mother of Zeus's daughter Athena.
The only child Zeus had with Metis in myth was Athena.
Athena was born full-grown from Zeus' head. There had been a prophecy that the children of Zeus and Metis would be more powerful than Zeus, so Zeus tricked Metis into becoming a fly and he swallowed her. However, Metis was already pregnant and she gave birth to Athena inside of Zeus. Metis made a robe and helmet for her daughter; all the hammering inside gave Zeus a headache, so he asked Hephaestus to cleave his head open. At this point, Athena sprang from Zeus' head in full armor and armed with the weapons Metis had given her.Athena
In Greek mythology, Zeus ate his child, Metis, because he was told that one of his children would overthrow him. He wanted to prevent this from happening by consuming Metis while she was pregnant with Athena.
