True number of classical guitar societies worldwide is impossible to figure out. Guitar reached the peak of its popularity in the second half of the 20th century and a lot of professional guitar societies and organizations started to exist and function (Guitar Foundation of America would be one of the best examples). Guitar today is a part of every major university and every medium-size city which usually results in formation of some type of guitar society, club, or a guild. Most of these societies function on a smaller, local level so it is very difficult to come up with a world-wide list.

six the only difference is what they are made of normal guitar strings are made of steel but classical guitars have strings with a mixture of plastic also known as nilon and steel
Your question seems rather impossible to answer. I don't see how you can count how many classical musicians are in the world, when more and more will keep being taught.
Guitar Center carries many different models of classical guitars. Prices range from two hundred dollars to two thousand dollars, depending on the brand and quality of guitar. Practice and student guitars will cost significantly less than a professional guitar.
Your question is too vague as roads have been built by many societies worldwide for millennia.
Well, it depends on what type of genre of music you want to play. The Electric Guitar works as a well instrument in many rock genres, including Classical Rock, Hard Rock, and Metal. However, a Jazz Guitar also has some cons and pros to! A Jazz Guitar can play Blues, Jazz, Classical Rock, mostly Oldies. However, a Jazz Guitar can not be as loud as a Electric Guitar. Depending on your type of genre, I would prefer an Electric Guitar, which could play almost all genres. Enjoy playing!
Guitars in Houston are sold in Guitar Center, various second hand music shops, and at music meetups and events. Craigslist may also have some offers, though the quality of those guitars are more hit-or-miss than the ones found at guitar shops.
Literally speaking, both guitars are "acoustic" but we call an "acoustic" guitar a steel string guitar because of the rougher strings that are harder to press down which creates a sharp, crisp sound used particularly for rock, blues, country, folk, and even pop music. A nylon-string or "classical" strings are much lighter, softer and easier to press down and play as their fretboards are wider and make them ideal for precisely, classical music and are used for folk music as well. There are popular in many genres such as latin, classical, salsa, tango and many others.
Well, there are many types of guitar, acoustic, classical bass and electric. I play the acoustic and classical. Those are quite easy to play. With the bass there are only four strings whereas the rest have six. Bass does hurt your fingers and doesn't sound as nice on it's own compared to the rest.
