Full sail university
ASL is NOT accepted at all colleges and universities as a foreign language, only a select few. You need to contact that specific school and ask. I know George Mason University in Fairfax VA just started accepting ASL as a foreign language a few years ago. More schools are accepting ASL slowly.

yes. selective colleges want people with good grades in everything. However, if your major is something like science, colleges would put less emphasis on foreign language grades
Hey im 14 yrs old, In 3rd year and im not doing a language in school. Can someone tell me if i can get into college with out a language??? Im confused =( No, you don't need to learn a language to get to sixth form college... Some universities you do though.
It would be better to list the schools that do accept ASL as a foreign language. Most do NOT, only recently has some schools started to accept ASL as a foreign language. George Mason University in Fairfax VA does.
3 but 4 will further improve your chances
The short answer is no. When you take a foreign language in high school, colleges are able to rely on the fact that you learned the language well enough pass the classes. If you are studying a language on your own, they have no way to verify what you have learned. It's possible that some colleges may have an exam that you can take to prove your foreign language skills; however, I don't know of any colleges that do that.
No. It only matters how many years of a foreign language you take. As long as they offer 3 to 4 years, you will be fine.
Depends on the college, but language is necessary in today's global world.
There are many colleges that do *NOT* require a foreign language, but it is highly suggested and normally required that you atleast participate in classes to learn foreign languages, even if you don't learn one.
your high school should have a requirement that will probably suffice. Depending on your definition of good, it wouldn't hurt to take it all 4 years of high school. After all, the goal of learning a foreign language is to learn it. If you want to get into a good college you better be prepared to work for it.
The common credits to have in the 11th grade include three years of science, social studies, and three years of math. Two years of foreign language is also best to have.
