How many contributions do I need to have before I join The Initiates Program?

There isn't really an answer to this. We would like you to have a few contributions so we can assess whether you are a good potential for TIP. A rough recommendation would be around 100 contributions, most of them being answers, with a couple of tool usages and ideally some community actions.
As a better explanation, it would be ideal if you have at least 6 months of active experience on Answers before joining TIP, although exceptions can be made.

Yes, you must be a member of WikiAnswers in order to participate in The Initiates Program.
Can I apply to join The Initiates Program or must I be invited?
You are free to apply to join the program. If you would like to join then send a message to the program staff, either Xnicola or Skullcandy88. They will review your contributions to make sure you meet the requirements and then set you up with your program badge and first mission.

There is no trust point requirement to join The Initiates Program.Trust points are not always a good indication of how good a contributor is. We are more interested in the quality of your contributions.Don't let your number of trust points put you off applying to join!

Yes, it is free. The only cost to you is the time you put into it.
Can you be in The Initiates Program if you are a Premier Answerer?
Yes you can join The Initiates Program if you are a Premier Answerer.However, if you graduate from the program and accept an invitation to become a supervisor then you will lose your Premier Answerer status.Contributors can only be a Premier Answerer or a supervisor and not both.
Do you get extra tools when you join The Initiates Program?
No, you do not gain any extra tools by joining The Initiates Program. You are trained in using the tools you already have as a contributor. This is an opportunity for you to excel in all areas of the site before graduating and hopefully being invited to become a supervisor. Ideally you should be proficient in all the tools you have available before becoming a supervisor and gaining extra tools.
How do you join The Initiates Program on WikiAnswers?
If you are interested in becoming a member of TIP then you should contact the program staff (Xnicola or Skullcandy88). There is currently no leader for the program, but the program staff mentioned above can grant you membership.
How many contributions should you have to join the Community Outreach program?
Currently the only requirement to join the Community Outreach program is you have to be at least 13 years old. All you need to do to join is to send your request and email address to communityoutreach @ wikianswers.com (remove the spaces). There is no minimum number of contributions you should have to join.
Can you be in TIP and WIT at the same time?
Of course you can. As long as you meet the age requirement of 15 years, you can join The Initiates Program too.
Can you be in The Initiates Program and Community Outreach at the same time?
Yes, of course you can. As long as you meet the requirements of the programs, you can join as many as you like.

The first member in the TIP records is Judy Olmsted. She is now a supervisor on Answers thanks to TIP.
How do you earn badges in The Initiates Program?
When you join The Initiates Program you will be given a program badge for your profile. This is displayed in the badges section of your profile and cannot be edited by yourself. You will also earn a different badge for each mission that you complete in the program. These badges are placed in your editable profile section (your "about me" section). This means that you are free to edit their position by editing your profile.
