The Duke of URL's contributions are not counted, mostly because it is a robot. It makes so many contributions per minute, it would be useless to count, since it never stops.

Is Duke of URL an actual robot that thinks on its own?

The Duke of URL is a subroutine within Wiki s software. It is a computer program, and is incapable of independent thought. Note that the Duke was withdrawn from service on or about 28 June. It is true that the Duke cannot "think" (see any added link he has added to a question for an example), though I do hear that he has some very dirty thoughts regarding Topicana.

How can Duke of URL be male if it's a robot?

WikiAnswers Duke of URL was set up to help add links to questions. It is a subroutine within the WikiAnswers software. When the staffers who set things up created a Bio page, they selected the male gender. Additionally, the title Duke is masculine. Dutchess is feminine, and there is no equivalent title for someone of unspecified gender, or for a non-living thing. As a final point, a similar subroutine was set up some time ago. Topicana, is running to help put questions in the proper Category. This bot was given the handle "Topi" and was referred to in the feminine. It sort of made sense that the Duke of URL be male, though, as suggested, robots do not usually have a gender.

Who is Duke of URL?

"Duke of URL" will be the username of an automated bot that will add related Answers.com reference links to questions. Currently there is a section titled "Also see on Answers.com" associated with most Q&A pages. This section will be discontinued in the near future. The links from that section will be absorbed into the standard related links section of each Q&A. The advantage of this change is that the community will be able to remove reference links which are not related to the content of the Q&A (whereas now we cannot). WikiAnswers.com also has an automated recategorization bot with the username "Topicana." Note: Duke of URL has been blocked due to it posting lots of unrelated related links.
