Dairy consumption has been linked to hormonal imbalances, resistance to antibiotics, as well as both breast and prostate cancer. When milk is pasteurized is loses very little of the purported "health benefits" and is not a very valuable source of vitamin D or calcium.
If you're going to drink milk, I *personally* wouldn't let my child consume any more than one 8 oz. glass a day. There are many delicious milk alternatives (soy,rice,almond, hemp, etc.) that are enriched with tons of vitamins and minerals too.
