It depends on the schedule they run and each department is different. For example, on a career department they usually run 24 hour shifts but it could be 8, 12, 16 or 48. The most common is a 24 on, 48 off schedule and if that's the case you would only work about 10 days a month. Volunteers can run any number of different shifts including being on for a week at a time but they usually respond via pagers from home.
I'm assuming the question is "How many work days in a month?" Depends on the month and if there are holidays that month or now. February can be 20 work days but if President's Day is on a week day it's 19. August a month of 31 days and no holidays this year has 21 work days.

Typically a work week consists of five business days. There are generally four weeks in a month for a total of twenty work days in a month. Since there are twelve months, you calculate the number of workable days in the month by how many months are in a year. 20 days x 12 months = 240 workable days per year
It depends on the country and state/province.

It depends on how many days the month has, and if there are any national or other holidays. There are usually 5 working days per week, 20 working days in the first four weeks of any given month. The average number of working days per month is 21 (5 x 52 weeks, minus 7 to 9, divided by 12), with the minimum 18 and the maximum 23.
