Mary brought Jesus to the temple, before God, to be circumcised, eight days after he was born. Then 33 days after that Mary brought Jesus before the Lord according to the law of Moses, (Leviticus 12,2 to 6)

As Mary was pregnant , before she got married to jJseph, these things were not tolerated by the Jewish comunity in those days. Today it is different.

Jesus allowed them to worship him thus.In John 20:17, Jesus says to Mary Magdalene, "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended ..." In this gospel, not only could Mary not touch Jesus, but no one could before he rose to heaven.Eight days later, still in John's Gospel at verse 20:27, Jesus forgets his earlier concern and tells Thomas to touch his wounds.
There is no record in the Bible that I can see of anyone visiting Jesus Mary and Joseph 12 days after Jesus' birth. The only visitors to them all that seem to be recorded, are the three wise men and the shepherds, who visited them in the cattle shed just after the child was born.
