In many families in the United States, it is traditional to celebrate both Christmas Eve night as well as Christmas Day. So in a way, Christmas is celebrated for 2 days, even though Christmas itself is really only one day.

Little kids get presents in their shoes, and only items they need, like clothes, not many toys. It is a lot different than in the U.S
La Noche Buena is Christmas Eve. Many Hispanic cultures, will celebrate Christmas at midnight on Christmas eve (IE: As soon as the day starts) rather then wait until later Christmas day as is the tradition with many other cultures. As far as I know, it is celebrated in all of the Central American and South American cultures, though I don't know if it is celebrated in Spain.

There are a great many things that Spain chooses to celebrate. There are many different Spanish holidays celebrated in Spain.
